Originally *I intended to look for lesson plans to use in Biology to teach genes and DNA.
I
googled science lesson plans and found lesson on the human genome project at discovery education.
The website is http://school.discoveryeducation.com/lessonplans/programs/humangenome/
This lesson seems good to do as a research lesson for the students to learn about the human genome project, what it
was
searching for basic lessons and the significance of gene mapping. This could lead into a blog about students opinions
on
standard deviation geared towards students who struggle in math.gene mapping, gene therapy and bioethics. I would be a great wrapup of all the information they attained on DNA, protein synthesis, chromosomes and genetics.
So far this is the only website
I found
other sites I could use - there is a video on human genome, will still look
for
other topics that students also struggle with. The sites below focus on standard deviation, how to find it, and what it tells us about this at
a
set of data: http://www.mste.uiuc.edu/hill/dstat/dstat.htmlhttp://score.kings.k12.ca.us/lessons/standdev.html cheaper price.

I started out looking for river ecology lesson plans and quickly changed to insect ID. This is a great site for insect identification which is part of a lesson I do at the beginning of the year.*http://www.pedagonet.com/Insectclopedia/bugid.html

I am also planning on starting a blog for the science department. This is an example of a blog that I liked
